Our Verification Clients

We have worked with clients across the financial services spectrum, including both asset managers and asset allocators. BlueMark’s inaugural service was our Practice verification of investor alignment with the Operating Principles for Impact Management.

See below for a list of selected BlueMark clients with links to their published verification statements:

As a pioneer of impact investing, we are firm believers in the importance of impact verification to drive authenticity and accountability in the market. That is why we helped develop the Operating Principles for Impact Management. In September 2019, with Tideline’s expert guidance as our chosen verifier, we became the first signatory to release the results of our audit against those principles. Tideline validated LeapFrog’s approach, which has been refined and strengthened over several funds, confirming LeapFrog as a leader in impact measurement and management.

CASE STUDY

CALVERT IMPACT CAPITAL

Calvert Impact Capital is a non-profit investment firm that pools capital from individual and institutional investors to issue loans to mission-driven organizations serving communities around the world. In line with its reputation as a leader in the impact investing market, Calvert Impact Capital was a founding signatory of the Operating Principles for Impact Management (the Principles).

Tideline was identified as the ‘right fit’ to conduct a verification of Calvert Impact Capital’s impact management (IM) system for two key reasons. First, Tideline demonstrated an understanding of Calvert Impact Capital’s unique business model and strategy as a private debt investor. Second, Tideline was able to leverage its industry expertise and knowledge to deliver concrete recommendations on how Calvert Impact Capital could improve its IM practices and bring its IM system into greater alignment with the Principles.

Tideline conducted the verification engagement using its standard four-week engagement structure. During those weeks, Tideline worked closely with the Calvert Impact Capital team to conduct a series of discussions, interviews, and document review sessions with members of the firm’s leadership and impact-dedicated team. Tideline’s verification findings not only highlighted the areas in which Calvert Impact Capital excels in its impact management practice, but also identified areas where Calvert Impact Capital could continue to improve.
