Emily Philpott is an Analyst at BlueMark focused on impact assurance and verification. Emily joined BlueMark in February 2022.
Before joining BlueMark, Emily was an intern at B Lab Europe, working on their impact management team to develop a pan-European platform to support multinational companies on their IMM journeys. She also conducted a global research project to deepen B Lab’s understanding of the IMM experience and support needs of multinationals. Prior to this, Emily spent time as a marketing intern at Unilever and as a content writer at UK-based FinTech startup Tumelo.
Emily holds an MSc in International Development with Economics from the University of Bath, writing her thesis on the legitimacy of sustainability certifications and their impact on primary commodity producers. She earned her BSc in the same subject, using her dissertation to explore the relationship between international trade agreements and global public health outcomes.
