Mohit Saini leads the Research and Development practice and supports client verification services at BlueMark.
Mohit brings eight years of diverse experience in impact investing, PE, VC, international development consulting, and start-up operations. He is a contributing writer for publishers in the U.S, U.K, and India.
Before joining BlueMark, Mohit was part of the investment team at the Tufts University Investment Office (TUIO) in Boston that managed the university’s USD 3 Bn. endowment fund. At TUIO, Mohit was the lead author of the 2020 annual impact report for a $110 Mn. impact fund and developed a quantitative impact rating tool to conduct impact due diligence on fund managers.
Previously, Mohit worked as an international development consultant in the financial inclusion, fintech, and agtech sectors across India, Bangladesh, Malawi, and Uganda with MSC consulting. At MSC, he led strategy consulting and research projects, as well as engagement with prominent clients like UNCDF, J.P.Morgan, Gates, and Dell Foundations. He also led the launch of a USD 10 Mn. Financial Inclusion Lab to accelerate start-ups in India. Prior to this, Mohit worked with a fintech to offer banking services to underbanked people in rural India. He has written over 100 client- and public-facing reports, op-eds, policy briefs, and blog posts.
Mohit graduated with a Master of International Affairs from The Fletcher School, Boston, and was the first student to specialize in impact investing and innovative finance. He completed coursework in impact investing at Harvard Business School and Harvard Kennedy School. At Fletcher, Mohit won the D-Prize and Tufts Ideas competition for entrepreneurship. Mohit also holds an MBA from the Institute of Rural Management Anand, India. He is fluent in English and Hindi.
