Shaun Mays is a Senior Advisor at BlueMark. He is currently a consultant to the investment industry on projects in Infrastructure investment, Private Equity and Real Estate. His range of activities include fund raising, investment and business strategy, and deal structuring.
With over 30 years as a Chief Executive and Chief Investment Officer in the investment industry in the USA, UK, Europe, Asia, and Australia, Shaun has extensive experience at both executive and board level. He has held a number of board positions on listed and unlisted companies, charitable organizations, and government bodies.
Shaun was previously the Head of Aventicum Infrastructure Partners, a joint venture between Credit Suisse and Qatar Investment Authority in Zurich. He was CEO and CIO of London based Climate Change Capital until its sale to a listed company. CCC had investments in equities, cleantech, real estate, wind and solar infrastructure, and carbon credits.
In Sydney, he was CEO of Deutsche Asset Management then became the New York based founding Global Head of Infrastructure Investments of Deutsche Asset Management. Prior to joining Deutsche Bank, Shaun was the CEO of Westpac Financial Services, CEO of Mercury Asset Management, and CIO of State Super pension fund.
Shaun authored the ‘Mays report’ for the Australian Federal Government titled “Corporate sustainability – an Investor perspective”. He holds a BS II(i) from Leeds University, an MSc from University of Queensland, and an MBA from Macquarie University.
